The Stop Motion Filmmaking course is delivered from Aardman’s world-famous Gas Ferry Road studios in Bristol, UK — home to the studio for over 25 years.
This immersive 36-week, in-person programme is taught by Aardman’s leading creative talent across scriptwriting, story, pre-production, art department, modelmaking, and directing. Students are fully supported and mentored through every stage of short film development and production, with a strong focus on developing each filmmaker’s unique creative voice.
The course begins with eight weeks of remote script and development work, followed by an intensive six months creating and collaborating at Aardman’s studios.
Designed for creatives passionate about stop motion, this is a rare opportunity to learn alongside one of the world’s leading animation studios and become part of a thriving community of like-minded filmmakers.
