No qualifications are needed, whether you’re exploring animation for the first time or building a pathway into a creative career, this course gives you the essential skills, techniques, and confidence to animate your imagination.
Stop Motion Foundation is a four-week, online programme with practical masterclasses, weekly tasks, and online community. Covering everything you need to know about the principles of Stop Motion animation, taught to you by leading Aardman talent.
This course is ideal for those who have always wanted to animate with clay but didn’t know where to start, or those with animation experience looking for insider knowledge and lessons from industry-leading stop motion professionals.Â
Each week Academy Award® nominated director Will Becher and animator/director Carmen Bromfield Mason lead you through two filmed masterclasses that help you get animating, with key instructions for everything you’ve ever wanted to know about clay animation and its core principles. You will be given a weekly task to respond to the lessons you have learnt that you can upload and share with the Aardman Academy through a dedicated online community.Â
