Course Lead Will Becher - Oscar nominated Director for A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon. He is a renowned stop-motion animator and director at Aardman Animations, having worked on projects like Chicken Run, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, and The Pirates! Band of Misfits.

Everyone pays the same, no matter where you're from.

We have worked incredibly hard to keep the course fees as close to the average cost for a UK student to study for a Masters Degree in the UK. The cost of our course is considerably less than the price of an international student studying for a Masters Degree in the UK.

In the UK you will not be able to apply for a student loan to cover the cost of this course due to it not being accredited. We understand that this will make the course incredibly difficult for some to afford.

However, as our course is not accredited, we have total autonomy to build what we believe is a world leader in stop motion education, explicitly designed to fit the unique way the stop motion industry works.

We are not required to meet the rigid structure of traditional academic requirements such as dissertations, teaching breaks, class sizes and contact hours. 

This price includes your own animation unit plus production budget materials. 

It is your responsibility to find somewhere to live in Bristol, but we will do whatever we can to help you find accommodation.

The In-Person teaching will begin on Monday 8th January 2024, in our Gas Ferry Road studios in Bristol, UK.

If your normal place of residence is outside of the UK and you do not hold a UK passport, it is solely your responsibility to ascertain the legality of you visit during the course.

The Aardman Academy is not a registered Training Provider, so you cannot come to the UK on the student visa or use proof of attendance on our course for any type of student status.

For most overseas nationals, it is possible for you to visit the UK for up to six months for business or as a tourist using a Standard Visitor Visa.

Visit on business

For many overseas nationals, you can visit the UK for up to six months for these two business activities:

_{^{2 - get work-related training if you’re employed overseas and the training is not available in your home country.}}

Visit for Tourism

For many nationals, you can visit the UK on holiday or to spend time with family and friends. While in the UK as a tourist, you cannot:

_{^{3 - live in the UK for long periods of time through frequent or successive visits.}}

_{^{4 - marry or register a civil partnership, or give notice of marriage or civil partnership. You’ll need a Marriage Visitor visa instead.}}
